From October 1, 2025, Christofer Olofsson steps into his new role as Head of Sales in Sweden at Prog-It. With over 15 years of experience in IT and telecommunications, Olofsson brings valuable expertise and fresh drive to support Prog-It’s growth in the Swedish market.
“After six successful years in my old role, I wanted to try something new. Prog-It felt like the right place to use my experience to help both customers and colleagues succeed.”
Why Prog-It and Why Now?
Olofsson sees a strong opportunity for mid-sized IT providers in Sweden. “The market has consolidated heavily, and many smaller companies have been acquired. That leaves room for agile providers like Prog-It, who can offer both competence and genuine customer care. What convinced me were also the company’s values and the people I met during the process – it felt like the right match.”
Priorities in the Swedish Market
For Olofsson, the main focus is clear: growth and more clients. “Switching IT providers often comes down to timing. That’s why building and maintaining a wide network is essential, so we’re ready when the opportunity opens up. Good customer references will also be key in building trust and winning new clients.”
He highlights Prog-It’s position as unique: “We have a broad range of competence and specialists, but every customer still gets real attention. We don’t rely on long-term contracts, we earn trust. We are big enough to know, small enough to care.”
Opportunities Ahead
One of the biggest needs in Sweden is cybersecurity for small and medium-sized companies. “It doesn’t matter if you have one or 100 employees – without proper security, you can still end up in serious trouble. Helping SMEs strengthen their security is a huge opportunity for us,” Olofsson says.
‘Looking ahead, his goal is simple: “To see Prog-It grow profitably in Sweden, with happy customers. That’s the foundation for long-term success.”
