In October, Tuomo Kokkonen joined Prog-It as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. He brings with him extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and in the continuous improvement of financial processes. Tuomo has worked for over 12 years in a technology company, where he was responsible for group-level financial management, reporting, and budgeting, and was actively involved in mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integrations.
“I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Lapland. I’m originally from Kempele, Northern Finland, but these days I live in Helsinki with my family,” Tuomo says.
Tuomo was drawn to Prog-It by the opportunity to apply his previous experience in a new environment and to help drive the company’s next growth phase. “The challenges and goals immediately felt right. My discussions with the management team confirmed that Prog-It is the right place for me, and I believe I can bring real value to the company.”
During his first months, Tuomo aims to strengthen financial visibility and support business decision-making from a financial perspective. “I want to improve forecasting and reporting processes so that finance can effectively support the company’s strategy. In addition, mergers and acquisitions – and their successful integration – will be a key part of my role.”
What motivates Tuomo most in his work is the opportunity to apply his expertise in a hands-on way and make a tangible impact across the organization. He finds great satisfaction in seeing results and completing projects with determination. “It’s rewarding to know that my work contributes to the company’s success and to see its impact in practice – that’s what motivates me the most.”
