Data centre services cover hosting services, private cloud services and backup services. The services are implemented at three Prog-It data centres. We also help our customers to select and implement appropriate hybrid solutions or cloud services.
The hosting service is intended for the placement of customer-owned IT equipment. The hosting service, thus, means physical space in a data centre that always has a secure power supply, air conditioning and other required infrastructure such as LAN connections and connections to the outside world.
In a private cloud service, Prog-It is responsible for the technical environment, and the hardware used belongs to Prog-It. Each customer is allocated separately reserved capacity and services. This means that customers have access to a specified capacity in the equipment, for which they pay either a fixed monthly fee or a usage-based fee. Programmes that run on the servers are dedicated to customers at the operating system level. Prog-It also provides maintenance services to support hosting and private cloud services. Maintenance can be ordered as a 24/7 service.
Server backups are designed and implemented so that the continuity of the customer’s business operations is secured.
