Prog-It Oy has completed on 31st of July a company acquisition concerning all shares of Datium Corporation. Datium Coporation is focused on tailor-made software development and Azure consultation.
Datium as well as Prog-It have extremely long-term customerships in Finland. Additionally, Datium has a subsidiary OOO Datium operating in St. Petersburg. The employees of OOO Datium work for the projects carried out in Finland. In this acquisition OOO Datium will also be transferred to the ownership by Prog-It.
This new combination covering the business of both parties will employ over 60 persons. Datium has six persons in Finland and St. Petersburg´s software development team consists of 10 persons. Prog-It has over 30 employees in Finland and six persons in Swedish sister company called Prog-It AB. The combined forecast of turnover of both parties for the calendar year 2021 is over 6,5 million euros.
The software development services of Datium cover all activities from defining and planning the solutions to the implementation and maintenance of the software. Datium plans also cloud strategies and transitions as well as Azure migrations and solutions.
Both companies have decades of experience in development and execution of tailor-made software solutions. Prog-It`s strong points lie in integrations, data migrations, portal solutions, solution consulting as well as in software solutions for logistics operators. Both parties serve all kind of business sectors and utilize same kind of technologies.
Jari Sarras, CEO of Datium Oy:n will be employed by Prog-It as a Business Director of Solutions Business in Prog-It. He will also join the management team of Prog-It.
Juha Leinonkoski, Chairman of the Board in Datium will participate to the Board of Prog-It.
Datium Oy will be Prog-It Oy´s subsidiary and its´ CEO will be Kirsti Kehusmaa who also acts as CEO of Prog-It Oy. The responsibilities of Jari Sarras will also cover the management of operations in St. Peterburg´s software team. These changes will come into the force since 1st of August, 2021.
